Alexis Nikole Nelson

We are so proud of Natalie! Her interview with Alexis Nikole Nelson aka @blackforager was amazing! They talked about how ethical foraging is based on developing a relationship with the plant and the space. Foraging is a form of stewarding and it is a practice that takes time. They also talked about the colonial and violent history behind the laws that restrict foraging, which in a way is a restriction to having access to the land and to build a relationship with the land.   

If Alexis could become a plant she would be an oak. Natalie chose a stinging nettle.
