A Conversation with Julie Vanderwal from the Beaver Food Forest - "Since working with beavers, I try to see the water they could hold on the land, and then work toward making that happen."
Julie Vanderwal’s work at the Beaver Food Forest Farm is impressive. It has inspired our restoration efforts greatly and it resonates with a lot of what we are working on at Wonderland!
Her peat-free, coir-free native plant nursery in North Central Washington State, specializes in plants that beavers use for food and construction materials, supporting beaver-based restoration processes!
We had the pleasure of interviewing Julie in February to talk in depth about wetlands, water, beaver-based restoration processes and of course, beavers! You can read the full interview in our Patreon.
We highly encourage you all to follow Julie, she is constantly sharing detailed content about her incredible practice in regards to wetland and beaver habitat restoration.
Thanks, Julie, for sharing so much with us!
